- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Bernstein was absolutely amazing!! I had RNY gastric by-pass in July of 2007. I weighed 498lbs the day of my surgery and am now maintaining a healthy 182lbs. I could benefit from skin removal but that's very expensive and not covered by my insurance so as I said I'm a healthy 182lbs and extremely happy!! I was very fortunate to not have any problems related to my surgery post-op. It's a life changing event. You have to commit yourself to knowing if you sit on your butt and eat the wrong foods you're going to fail. The surgery is a tool and when used correctly you'll have success. It's all up to you. Dr. Bernstein is truly dedicated to helping you succeed. She's one of those Dr's who takes the time to get to know you. She's patient, kind and courteous and all of those things were very important to me. I would recommend her and all the Dr's in her office for they are just as incredible.
